Cathy har sin utdannelse fra Barratt Due musikkinstitutt og er en erfaren orkestermusiker og kammermusiker. Siden 2017 har Cathy vært cellisten i Scenekvelders produksjoner av Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, Reisen til Julestjernen, Matilda, Miss Saigon, Wicked og Annie på Folketeatret i Oslo. Hun har spilt sammen med bla.a. Oslo Filharmonien, Den Norske Opera og Ballet, Kringkastingsorkestret, Wermland Opera og Göteborgs Symfoniker. Som innspillingsartist har Cathy medvirket i alle genrer fra popmusikk til opera, og fra kammermusikk til postrock. Som en del av klavertrioen Oslo III (Bendik Finnerud på klaver og Emil Huckle-Kleve på fiolin), har Cathy medvirket i Festspillene i Bergen og Oslo Kammermusikkfestivalen.

Cathy Donnelly is a Northern Irish cellist and tutor based in Oslo. Cathy studied at the renowned Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo and is an experienced orchestral and chamber musician. Cathy has been cellist at Folketeatret in Oslo since 2017 in Scenekvelder’s productions of Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, Reisen til Julestjernen, Matilda, Miss Saigon, Wicked and Annie. She has worked with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, The Norwegian National Opera Orchestra, The Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Wermland Opera and Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. Recordings Cathy has taken part in range from pop music to opera, and from chamber music to rock.
